I saw this on MTV Jams today. I have no idea if it's new or old, but I had to put it on here because he uses a backbeat of this techno/rave song I love. Yes, I LOVE rave/techno/dance/house music. I guess it's the European environment I grew up in and my friends made me listen to it a lot and eventually I fell in love with it.
Anyway, this song's backbeat and vibe is taken from Alice Deejay's 1999 song "Better Off Alone". Now, I ♥ that song like no other, so of course when I heard this, I was like, this is an outrage for ruining a techno classic! lol.
[BTW, that was definitely my first reaction to Kanye's "Stronger" when it was first released because he sampled Daft Punk's "Harder, Better Faster Stronger"]
But as I listened to it, I guess it grew on me. I still can't say that I like it because I always see myself singing the lyrics of the original song, but I don't hate it anymore. Here's the video:
